10km Fun Run/Walk



The City2Saxton is a 10km fun run/walk from Victory Community Centre to Saxton Field on smooth walkways.

A great family event on foot, scooter, skateboard, rollerblades, wheelchair, mobility scooter or get creative and bring a skipping rope or hula hoop. Bikes are only allowed for children under 6 years who are with an adult (not on a bike). The course follows smooth walkways most of the way.

Get involved with your mates, family, co-workers or enemies! This is an event for everyone, you'll love it.

At Sport Tasman we aim to get More People, More Active, More Often.  We have a great network of cycleways and walkways in our region and we'd like to get you out there using them.  For more information about great events and things going on in your community stay informed through our Facebook page, we're always posting lots of exciting information.



Online registration is now closed but you can register on the day at Victory Community Centre from 7.30am.

  • $15 - Adult (18+ years) 
  • $7.50 - Student (6 - 17 years) 
  • $37.50 - Family (up to 2 adults and 3 children or 1 adult and 4 children) 

Children under 6 are FREE!

Bikes are only allowed for children under 6 years who are with an adult (not on a bike).

This is an ideal event to train for the Jennian Homes Mothers Day Fun Run/Walk on 14 May and the Saint Clair Vineyard Half Marathon on 13 May, 2017.

FREE bus transportation (excluding under 6 yr olds bikes) will be available from Saxton Stadium (event finish) to Victory Community Centre (event start) in the morning. There will NOT be a shuttle from Saxton to Victory at the end of the event *.

    7.25am     First bus departs - recommended for all walkers & wheels

    8.25am     Final bus departs - recommended for all runners

Park your vehicle at Saxton Stadium in the morning and we'll shuttle you to the start at Victory Community Centre. If you decide to drive to the start there will NOT be a shuttle back to Victory Communtiy Centre after the event.

We recommend you park your vehicle at Saxton Stadium and take the free bus to the start at Victory Community Centre. This will ensure you have access to your vehicle and cash to buy food and drinks at the Saxton finish area.

* Please note that anyone traveling with an under 6 year old  who is riding a bike will not be permitted to take the bus with their bike. You will need to find your own transportation to the start line.




After completing 10km you'll be ready for drink and a bite to eat. We will have a good selection of food vendors onsite and music to keep your energy levels up. Please note that some vendors are CASH ONLY so come prepared.
