Sport Maker 2014 Awarded

Exceptional Sport Maker, part time teacher and mum of three Mel Morris from Blenheim was recognised as ‘Sport Maker 2014’ at the New Zealand Sport and Recreation Awards on April 14.

The Award, now in its second year, was introduced in April 2013 to launch the Lotto Volunteer Foundation’s partnership with Sport NZ and to honour an outstanding Sport Maker on behalf of all New Zealand sport volunteers.

Mel has been recognised for her contribution to rugby, volleyball, flipperball (water polo), basketball and softball over the past nine years. She has also been acknowledged as the 2014 Marlborough Sport Maker of the Year for her dedication to sport volunteering.
