Volunteers

Cheers to Volunteers!

Sport Tasman is always looking for people in our community who can dedicate their time and energy to the various events that Sport Tasman is involved in, in our community. We have a fantastic team of 70 active and willing volunteers who keenly get involved in all manner of tasks to help us provide opportunities for our community to get active.

Many of these volunteers are regularly in the community promoting events with a special emphasis on the South Island Masters Games, which is coming back to Nelson in 2017. For this event we are looking for outgoing and enthusiastic people to join our fun-based team of volunteers. If you have some hours to spare and wish to become involved in this exciting event, meet some new friends and have some fun along the way then please contact us. You are assured of learning new skills and making lots of friends.

We organise events across the top of the south in the five regions we work in including Nelson, Tasman, Marlborough, Buller and Kaikoura and require volunteers in all these areas.

Some of our regular events include:

  • Summer/Winter/Spring Explorer (Westport, Nelson, Marlborough, Kaikoura)
  • Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon (Nelson)
  • Westport Warrior (Westport)
  • City2Saxton (Nelson)
  • Coast Kids Triathlon (Westport)
